Nooooo...

You know that feeling you get when you know you have to turn music off? I think it’s safe to liken it to the feeling you get when it’s winter and you have to turn the shower off. It’s the same feeling you get when you’re in bed and you know it’s cold in your room, and you have to come out from under your covers eventually. Silence. Yuck.

Thought

I just had a thought. In a vacuum, you could throw a grain of salt much further than you could throw a baseball. Wow. (Science people, please confirm or deny. Thank you.)

Branches

Not only can we not see into the future, we can’t even see the choices that our choices will lead too. I think too often we think that our lives involve a linear set of decisions. Well let me ask you this, are you where you thought you’d be six months ago? Chances are, you’re not, and it’s because each decision you make, leads to a wide set of new decisions, and each of those new decisions, leads to a wide set of new decisions, ad infinitum. It’s like following an upside down tree along a single path of branches. We try to predict what our general direction will be as we pilot through, but every once in a while, one major decision will, well, you know, lead us somewhere unimagined.
